We had yet another beautiful School Holiday Programme at Freemans Bay School this week, and we were blessed with a lovely sunny day, perfect for playing outdoors. Indoor activities included Italian songs, art and games for 35 children. The course was run by Italian teachers and a few assistants, plus a couple of parents and grandparents!!
And of course we had pasta for lunch, the choice was burro e parmigiano or Sorrentina (tomato, basil and mozzarella) and most kids wanted both!! Lovely tables were set with tablecloths, proper plates and a basket of bread and focaccia (real Italian style), and were packed with kids from 5 to 12, happily eating and conversing. Some came back for second helpings too! And for dessert we had seasonal fruit (mele, pere, mandarini e kiwi), plus Mulino Bianco biscuits for a final treat.
Grazie Massimo's Italian Cheeses's Italian Cheeses for the mozzarelline, Mediterranean Foods for the biscuits and Il Forno for bread and focaccia
